Tiffany & co.inc. The company was founded in 1837 by C.L. Tiffany and J.B. Young; initially, they purchased goods from T.C. Moore silversmiths, which was later incorporated into the company; they then began producing silverware and various articles in silver and electroplate, but the company’s peak came after the Civil War. Tiffany is credited with introducing “ENGLISH SILVER” (925%) in the USA; this standard was later adopted as the national standard by the American government. Over the years, Tiffany has distinguished itself for the uniqueness of its products, always with excellent design and craftsmanship.
