On the Medici tables salt, the white gold, was placed before each guest in small cellars, a sign of the fortune of the house. Ugo Poggi revives that tradition with objects sculpted in gold-dipped brass and hand-enamelled in Florence: small sculptures for the table, rich in detail, from the little spoon to the shell. Every piece is hand-finished; slight variations in the enamel are the artisan’s signature.
