Dettagli prodotto

It’s a story that dates back to 1775, when Jonathan Mappin decided to open a silver shop in Sheffield with the personal intention of creating the most renowned silverware production. A vision that would see the company expand internationally, receiving mandates and commissions from monarchs all over the world, thus becoming synonymous with excellence and craftsmanship characteristic of all things related to English silverware production. Soon, his vision became reality. Illustrious clients from all over the world alternated over the decades, including the Queen of France Marie Antoinette, the last Tsar of Russia Nicholas II, Winston Churchill, Charles Dickens, Harry Houdini, and Grace Kelly. Part celebration, part exploration, the company today is a renewed expression of the spirit of discovery that has driven Mappin Webb from the 1700s through the following two centuries.
